Default Stand Practice?

Just curious whether it would be better to practice at 20ft or 15ft? I will have most stands at 20ft during season, but I have a 15ft ladder that I can easily practice from each day. Will this change my way of shooting in a 20ft stand? I just don't like to set up 20ft of climbing sticks and lock on stand and not be able to move it around my yard to a different tree for different shot angles. Any advice?

Really, its going to be the angle of the shots more than anything. A shot straight down from 20' up,versus a 25 yard shot from 20' up. I practice at home anywhere from a 12' high buddy stand to a 15' ladder stand even though i normaly hunt 18' to 25' I dont think it will effect you to much.

It does not seem to affect you much but 20 and 15 is a little bit more angle when your up high you definately do not want to shoot high espicially when they like to duck, definately practice, always keep in mind where your arrow will come out the other side at, this will help where to put the sight pin on the entry hole side.

I practice at different levels as I use a climber.
The 2 most important things are to practice and have fun when you practice.

Most of my stands are 15' . The practice stand in my back yard is only 10' . That works for me !

Practice as close to what your hunting situations are going to be. The more you practice like the actual hunt is going to be the better off your going to be when that buck of a lifetime steps out. Just have to cocentrate on the spot and let muscle memory take over.

shouldn't make too much difference at 20 yards out. Better than practicing solely on the ground

It won't matter.

EVERY shot .....EVERY time.....the angle changes....based on the height of your stand and the distance of the shot.

It won't matter. Do what's easiest for you.
