Now come on Atlas, you are usually a man that bases statements on some sort of facts. Escalade Sports owns Bear Archery, Jennings Archery, and Carolina Archery(The maker of Whisker Biscuit). Trophy Taker does not show up on Escalade Sports' website as a product or a company that they now own. Trophy Takers website does not show this either. If Escalade Sports did indeed buy Trophy Taker company,Escalade Sportsbought it and not Carolina Archery. Escalade Sports has been in business for over 70 years and is not successful based on it's one purchase of Carolina Archery.
Don't get your shorts in a bunch Don..........I was just bustin' your chops a little ;) I couldn't care less who owns what.

Now to answer your statement about more WB's then dropaways, that is a simple answer....MONEY and the cost of a dropaway. A WB is a 1/4 of the cost of a quality drop away
A quality drop away costs $200+???..........A quick check of Cabela's has the Trophy Taker Shakey Hunter (micro adjust) at $30 more then my WB..........which is what I would say is about average.

some people can't afford a drop away.
I doubt $30 will make a difference for most guys.........and many drop away's can be had for pretty much the same price as a WB.

I also would like to know why fletching contact is an attribute in an arrow rest?
I don't view it as an attribute...........or a hindrance with the WB. It doesn't effect the flight of my arrows at all. If it did do you really think I would use it for years? I am a STICKLER for laser straight arrow flight (it's what I tune for) and I have no problems getting there with the WB.

BTW, I have had the same original Trophy Taker for 4 years now.I had it on my Hoyt Xtec, took it off and put it on myHoyt Trykon, and now this same Trophy Taker is on my Hoyt Vectrix. This same 4 year old rest has performed flawlesslywithout one problem or failure, so dependability is not an issue. I have set them up once at my proshop on each of these bows and have never had one problem or have they ever had to be readjusted.
Substitute a WB in there and it describes my last 4 years as well......except I haven't changed bows. Sounds like we both have pretty good rests. ;)

The Trophy Taker performs flawlessly and the fletches do no touch the bow rest when leaving my bow. I do not have to make sure I use a specific vane, nor do I have to worry about cock feather placement.
The WB performs flawlessly and I don't worry about the fletches because it has no effect on my shooting. I don't have to shoot a specific vane.......I shot Duravanes for years and switched to Blazers (2") because they are the best. I do shoot vane up (oh the horror [:o])

I was wrong in my cost comparison; I had no idea that WB's were so expensive. Sorry. Enjoy your WB fellas.

Maybe that's why you like "drop aways"

Thats what ya get for plastic vanes. I shoot feathers through mine and each of my arrows have close to abotu 1500 shots through the wb and still look great and shoot straight with no damage to wb either. Plastic vanes arent as good as one thinks, I shot plastics through my wb nad had to replace them, I put feathers on and havent had a problem since.
