Home made foam target...How thick?
#1
Hello All,
I found a bunch of that white dense "foam" layers...packing stuff. I picked up some because I want to make a target to try my new broadheads...my questions is, how thick does it need to be? 10-12"?
Thanks!
Isaac

If it's the real hard , thick , dense stuff then four inch's should be enough.
What you might want to try is start with the four inch's and push an arrow though it , if it's hard to push though all the way , then you know you got enough.
If not , then keep adding on until you can't push the arrow though.

Regarding the foam..I would go at least 12" thick...you dont want BH tipped arrows skipping through the neighborhood, or worse, your house!
