Iced sasafrass tea it is, mmmmm good.

So, 100 yard running shots on spanish goats is acceptible? How many shots do you think he misses of wounds to get the one running shot on video at 100 yards? Do you really think he is one for one? Surely not.

Sorry, i dont have any problem with people shooting yotes. I dont eat them, I dont shoot them. Thats my opinion on the subject as you have yours. 500 yard running shots are not high percentage shots and its MY opinions shouldnt be taken. Too many woundings.

Hows the popcorn preach? So, do you just follow me around now?

I'm not shooting, are you ? If not, don't worry about it, his shots, his hunting, not yours and not mine. Is it illegal for him to take those shots ?

Have you taken many 500 yard shots ? Do you practice at that range ? Define high percentage ?

BTW if you don't shoot them, you are not being a good steward of wildlife. As the top of the food chain mammal, we've replaced all other predators, and we've grown our deer herds very well, and use to be we managed the predators well too through trapping and varmit hunting. Less and less now do we do that, but its our respoinsibility and its been forgotten to a large degree.

And do not judge me for taking a 40+ yard shot, if and when I ever do. If I'm comfortable in both my ability to execute the shot and the animal is cooperative, you have absolutely no right to judge me or anyone else.

Ethics, be it shot range or anything else, is a personal matter. No one can tell me how to hunt. You can pat me on the back for a job well done or you can grit your teeth and walk away. The choice is yours. But you better believe that if you try and tell me I'm wrong for how I hunt or why I hunt that way you'll be leaving with my boot up your arse.

For me.....Bow 35 yards, shotgun 200 yard(scoped, rifled barrel high power slugs), rifle....depends on what caliber your shooting, your effective range for a .30-30 is going to be different than the range for a .300 Ultra Mag.

A hundred yards at a running big game animal with a center fire rifle is not a terrible shot in my opinion.I know I have made that shot and seen others make it very successfully. That subject can be debated until the end of time however.

As for 500 yards at a yote........any shot at a yote is a good shot whether it's running skipping or doing summersaults, they are a varmint and in most areas need to be thinned out.
