As with whitetail hunting, the better and harder you scout the better off you'll be. Spend a few days walking around looking and confirming feeding areas, roosting areas, strutting areas and dusting bowls and you'll be well ahead of the game. Then it's simply a matter of popping up a Double Bull blind, staking out a few decoys 10 to 15 yards in front of you and throwing out some limited calling. I've found that location is FAR more important than calling when bowhunting the birds. Turkey hunting with a bow is honestly one of THE most exciting hunts you'll ever make!

Here are some kill zone charts to help

You will most certainly want 2 or 3 decoys and a pop-up blind. The blinds are simply awesome! You can pop-up a blind ANYWHERE and the turkey won't have a clue. For whatever reason they won't hesitate to strut right up to a pop-up blind set in the middle of an open field or pasture... it's almost cheating!
