The art of putting a stand.
There are really more than just 4 basic information to just put up a stand. What i like to do is at dark go outside and drive around to shine deer just to see if the deer are active. Repeat this step and if the deer are in the same spot that area is a good place to think about placing your stand. Then in the afternoon go in that place and look for signs that the deer left you. Pick a tree to put the stand in and look around that tree to see if it covers a lot of ground. If its winter look for tracks and rubs, but if its summer look for scrapes and rubs too. If that place is covered in this that stand should be a nice one. Put the stand up and cut any branches that block your shooing if a deer come...reminder dont cut down all of them because you need some cover to blend in with the tree. Then once you put the stand up, sit in it for the day and see what comes buy..remember dont scare the deer away if doing this. Then if you can bait deer place some apples and corn out about 50 yards away and make the pile head twoards your stand. keep this up and deer should come to your stand offen. This awesome advice made me get a 11 point buck. Hoped this helped.
