Holy cow......

I'm really surprised a some of the answers given. The slow motion makes it pretty clear that this was merely a flesh wound.....above the spine.....not into or below.....and probably a sore night for Mr. 9.

Has anyone else here ever missed? Hell I have....and I know others have, too. Was it a poor shot? Well....yeah. Was it an ill-advised position for th edeer to be in to TAKE the shot? I wasn't there. Can't tell ya.

A cow could have dropped in from the right of the screen and drop-kicked the shooter prior to the shot. It didn't. He missed. Nothing more.

SB, not really sure about what your post is all about. I didn't really see any bashing. Just observations.

Sure people miss.

Seeing a video that can replayed is just about as close to being there as you'll get.;)

From the position of the camera, the deer is quartering twards. The arrow comes from the left to the center of the screen. So the shooter is at even more of a angle. Once again, terible shot and a worse decision. Final answer.

The shot did not look ill-advised to me...........he just missed. The deer was quartering to which is fine unless you are hunting with the Drury Boys!................We all miss at one time or another.

But where was the cameraman ......and where was the shooter?

I've seen replays of shots on TV and absolutely jumped outta my chair!! Then....see where the hunter was.....and I'm back in my seat.

I don't care what anyone else says.....I commend you for asking the question and seeking opinions. Your deer's fine.

Jeff

Oh yeah.....and if you've NEVER shot at a deer and missed......post that at the bottom of your replies.

This ought to get good.

Don't know where the shooter was or the camerman if there was a camera man, but I be willing to bet that the arrow came from the left of the camera.

SB, sure I've missed. I also have no idea what that has to do with anything though. Maybe you could explain your point.
