Question about bows....
#1
When I read your guys' reviews of the 2007 bows, I see alot of people have very different opinions of the same bow. One person shot a Vectrix and said it had alot of hand shock and string buzz. Another person shot the Vectrix and said it was dead still and quiet.
I understand the subjective nature of judging bows. But is it also possible that two identical bows from the same assembly line just shoot differently? For example, could one Vectrix just have more shock and vibration than another Vectrix?

You know, I wondered that same thing. I don't understand it either. I really think some of it comes down to preconcieved notions of how it was going to be. I wouldn't think it's really all that possible. Quality control of most bow companies is top notch. They build bows to EXACT tolerances, there's no room for error.
I was really confused by it myself. I really felt like we were talking about different companies.....

it is possible i think . One could be set up slightly different , Two people could buy the exact same car and have different results using it. One person would love it the other say it is a lemon. i think to be non bias you would have to have scientific results to compare .Something that measures vibration , noise ,poundage , speed , and so on

I believe that if everyone had the same build, shot with the same form, in the same temperature, with the same release, the same rest, the same arrow, at the same elevation, and so on and so on, there would only need to be one bow manufacturer. Everyone is different, thats why they make Fords and Chevrolets (and even Dodges) MHO.

To be honest the only way to find the bow that fits you is to go shoot a bunch of them You will know when you have found the one you like. The more you read on the archery forums the more easily it is to get confused. Don't go looking for a perfect brand. They all have good bows. Hi price does not always mean better! be careful when selecting draw weight ans bow poundage. Now days 60# can shoot almost as fast as the older 70# bows. Find a shop willing to set up some bows and make sure they take some time to get you rigged up correctly.

I don't think many can not be biased. They go in with an opinion and come out with that same opinion. Rarely do you see brand switching unless someone does go in objectively. Take myself for example. I truly wanted the Switchback to win my heart his past spring, I came home with a Bowtech. I stepped away from Hoyt.
Take SBGobblers too, he loves his Switchback and I concur, nothing wrong with it but he went in with an open mind, instead of being stead fast on Mathews, he shot several with an open mind and too came out of it with a Allegiance.
My friend Kurt (Q2INWHITETAILS) went in in love with Mathews, I thought for sure he'd come out with a Switchback over his Q2, of at least, I'd have some influence becauce of my Alley but I was surprised when he came out with a Trykon.
When I see brand switching I tend to give more credit to a review for some reason. Not that all bows fit all people the same way. The only credit I never give is when someone has brand A and they go shoot the new bow from the same brand A and say it's so awesome.....compared to what? Your old bow? No kidding....shoot them all, decide for yourself.
