Diamond Bows question?
#1
I have decided that this year I am going to purchase a brand new(1st time) bow. I've always bought 2-4 year old. N-E-Way--- I was thinking about a diamond. Has anybody shot these? what kind of performance? Are you happy?
I ask this because after looking at many brands these fall into my price range for a bare bow. This way I have money left in my budget for Good arrows, sight, etc..
thanks!

You've chosen wisely. Diamond is a good route to go, especially since bowtech has acquired them. If you really want a top-end bow from Diamond at a reasonable price I would definitley look at the LIBERTY. I owned a bowtech liberty for a couple years and let me tell you I wish I wouldn't have gotten rid of it, the only reason I did was to buy a tribute. I still wish I had it for a back-up bow. As a matter of fact my brother is buying a Diamond Liberty for a back-up to his bowtech tribute. The liberty is very very smooth with reasonable speed. It has very little shock, and shoots like a dream. That's the bow I'd go for if I were you. The only thing I'd say though, is don't get the package deal unless you really want the stuff that comes on it. I'd consider finding a good drop-away rest and a decent sight. It's up to you, but that's what I know from experience. And by the way since Diamond picked up the liberty (and several other bows) nothing has changed except for the camo pattern.

Thanks for the input!!
My guess is I will get either one of the two that was mentioned. Then I will go out to the woods an start knocking down brutes like shed does every year!!

I just came in from shooting my '05 Diamond Victory in the back yard. I am VERY pleased with this bow. It was reasonably priced, the draw is silky smooth, no hand shock, extremely quiet, good speed, I could go on and on. This bow shoots better than I do. I'll be keeping this one for a while.

This all is great info!! My buddy who doesn't have a ton of cash is also looking at the Diamond line and I couldn't tell him about any of it cause I hadn't heard of it before. I certainly will now tell him to take a look at the line they have and see what he likes. Appreciate the info!!

---I let him walk all the time. He strictly amanagment buck. I'll let one of the nephews/nieces get him this year.
