My dad hunted mostly public land in Nothern Lower Michigan for 35 years. The biggest buck he ever took was a 125 inch 9 point. The next biggest was a 100 inch 10 point.

Im in Minnesota, and on my hunting land, if I could get 130 class buck with my bow, that would be a buck of a lifetime for me. I got one that I am haveing mounted this year. It was a 9 point that the taxi said would go about 125, but I got him with my gun. I shot at him about 2 weeks before, with my bow, but my arm hit the tree, and I shot about 1" over his back.[:@]It is a great buck for my area, but it would have ment more, if I could have gotten him with my bow. But dont get me wrong, he is a great trophey to me either way.

A few years ago I would have said 170 plus, now anything 150 plus in my immediate area. More hunters, less land to hunt per hunter to himself, and the brown-its-down crew has lowered it. There are some huge bucks taken by bow/gun within a 50 mile radius on some nice properties, but obtaining and keeping a property like that is like finding gold.
I still have a dream of shooting a Booner buck, but as rare as those are they are even rarer in my area these days.

Where I hunt in Southeast Nebraska a buck of a lifetime would be in the 190-200 range. Last year within a mile of my hunting area a deer was taken with a bow that net scored 179 and one of my hunting buddies shot one this year that looks like it will gross just over 180.

I never bowhunted until 7years ago and my first deer with a bow was a tremendous thrill. It weighed 65#. Since then I have killed a few "nice" bucks and a lot of does. I started passing on smaller bucks a couple of years and finally killed a 10 this year that grossed about 135. In my wildest dreams I would not have imagined that I would killing that kind of buck with a bow when I started. 150-160 class bucks are not rare here in NW Okla and if I live long enough I might be able to bag one.
Most of the bigger bucks around here are killed by rifle, though.
