Archery Buck of a Lifetime (your area)
#21
I've seen a buck that MIGHT go P&Y. He MIGHT. If I were to be able to bag this animal......I'd HONESTLY be happy if I never got another one that big. I mean that. I'm also hunting a 3-4-1/2 yr old that's as wide as my coffee table....lol (body girth.....his rack is just.....impressive for HERE).
I just love knowing these guys are out there. It makes me hunt harder......and smarter.
I may not shoot a buck, next year. I mean that, too. Any buck I take from here on out is going on the wall.

I have no idea Troy. By my measure, the Buck of a Lifetime would be the end-all, be-all of whitetail hunting - adeer so gratifying that it would effectively quench your lust tokill a big buck, and seeminglyrelegate you to more "recreational hunting" for the rest of your days.
In my area, (and you know we do a lot of scouting), theCREAM of the cream of the crop is in the 150 range. After an entire summer/fall of spotlighting and scouting, having looked at probably a couple thousand whitetails over the course of a year, we'll see a few that will push 150+, and now that PA's antler restriction program is starting to blossom, we're seeing more quality bucks yearly. But, with 1 million+ hunters in the Commonwealth, those deer are spread pretty thin.
I'm driven by knowing that there's always something bigger, something better. I honestly believe that if I would kill a state record whitetail, I'd be back out there the next season pounding it even harder, just knowing that there's always something bigger, something better, a buck that's yet to be tagged, a record-breaker in the making.
So for me, I don't think such a deer exists. Like Buckeye, I'll probably die tryin' to kill a deer that's bigger than the biggest one I already have. I really wish I wasn't like that, but it's just the way I am, I guess.

For Wis. and Ill., The sky is the limit. The Jordan buck and the Johnson buck are proof.
My best is from SE Wis., 14 Points, 181 1/8" gross, 9 4/8" abnormal (190+).
This is a good buck of a life time already, but I keep trying.

A buck of a life time for me in mid GA,where i huntmaby 140-150 although there are quite a few bucks taken each yr that score higher, Even a booner once in a while will pop up in the southern part of the state but around here its rarejust seeing one is rare[&:] thats why a good many of the hunters around that want a chance at a brute will simply pay the money and head up north to where hehas a better chance.

In all honesty to be a "buck of a lifetime" in my mind for what Ohio can produce is 180+.
I won't quit until I take a 200+ gross buck.... I may die trying but tryI might....

I'm in SW PA and when I think of a buck ofa lifetime, I think abouta buckthat is ALMOST unreachable and IMO that's a 160+ buck. Personally my goal is to shoot a 150", that would satisfy me nicely. I feel if I workhard enough at keeping/getting new good places to hunt,I may have a chance at it. Maybe I am smoking crack and I've already shot my buck of a lifetime, but I hope not.
