You said you saw him Bedded down. Now your changing your story.

Bottom line, The mistake was already made by pushing the deer to early and continuing to push him all day long. That usually never ends well. Just learn from it and make better disisions in the future.

i knew i did that wrong when i did it but i thot i had a better shot at first
If you really did know what you were doing was wrong then it's makes the whole mess even worse. Purposely acting against what you know is the correct thing to do and then publically whining when it goes in the toilet makes no sense to me.

How can you say you thought you had a better shot at first when you already stated that you hit him at least 3 inches behind the vitals?

Changing your story only makes you look worse............your writing style and lack of emotional control make me think (and hope) you are a young kid..........I hope you learn from this mess so you can start finding the deer you kill. It's much more enjoyable that way.

Fighting on here is like winning the special olympics...even tho you win, your still retarded.....remember that atlasman...hunting is a sport you learn by trial and error...not just read a few pages on the coolest hunting website ever made! lol

Atlasman, I agree with you in the fact that he should have waited, however he didnt. There is nothing we can do about it now. So why would you want to burn his thread? He might not have had the experience enough to realize what to do in the situation. But now that he has learned from his mistake, he is a better hunter for it.There is no need to go on with a flaming war, let just end it.

I don't believe people learn from the sugar coated "it happens" crap that getsspewed by many people on these forums. It'sNOT ok..........and this is NOT a game. Show it the proper respect anddo everything you can to avoid stuff like this.If not.........go play golf and stop wounding/killing animals for no reason.

Sorry, but I can't stand to seeincidents like this treated like they are no big deal.............I'm not much for the "You'll get 'em next time" mindset. Sometimes stuff happens thatis beyond our control............that is acceptable. Stuff like this is not.

Sometimes the truth stings.

Dude the deer is gone, fact that he bedded down so quickly he is going to die.

Atlas maybe you should not read these post, if you are sick and tired of them, just ignore them. I will say for the most part I agree with you, just need to work on your tact. Some folks have learned to get their point across softly, and others still use the 2 X 4. Both work, just one way you have peoples respect, and the other you're just an arrogant arse.

I couldn't disagree more...........hunting live animals is not the place to learn by trial and error. Learn by trial and error in your yard shooting at targets.........not in the woods. There is a certain amout of BASICCORE knowledgeEVERY hunter should have in his mental tool box..........without it you are nothing more then an accident waiting to happen.

We see it every year.

Atlas !
I agree with you for the most part on this topic and I see where he's contradicted himself a few time's as well. Unfortunately I think my friend your beating a dead horse on this one .I hate seeing this type of thread as well ,but we all have to learn ,some learn in the back yard until they're ready to actually hunt ,and some make these very mistake's thinking that they're ready.
Unfortunately it's out of our control and we can only hope somehow and somewhere along the line they get the message and learn from their mistake's .
