In Missouri, if its bowseason for deer it is for turkeys too, both run the same dates for archery season, so if your bowhunting and turkeys come in, you can take one, and in my opinion they are almost as good of a trophy as a deer, maybe better, much harder to get, the meat is fantastic, just not enough of it! Ive only taken one turkey with a bow, and dont even try anymore though, its almost impossible to get drawn on one, and if you do, they are hard to get, it seems like if your arrow doesnt stay in them, they will fly off and you wont get em.

Opening day this year I got into my stang early and about an hour after sunrise I had turkeys flying down all around me. I must of set up in a roost!
