Default BUCK GROWL

I was using the M.A.D. buck growl the other day and I actually had a buck GRUNT back. It for sure wasn't a growl but it was a grunt. It sounded like an immature buck but it got dark before it came out!

I have been thinking about trying one of those out. I have a week hunt here in southern Illinois November 4th - 10th on some invitation-only state park land and that may be a GREAT time/place to try this out. Thanks for the info.

Oneshot7,
Yes, it is close to Pope county. It is West of Harrisburg , just south of Rt. 13. It used to be a strip mine and the state has taken it over and is/has reclaimed some of it. 1200 acres. Sahara woods state park I think.

i herd the growl the other day and got to see its effect. i saw 6-10 bucks chasing one doe and a huge 8 had her but the little bucks kept at it but then he did the growl and chased one or two away and they really kept there distance until he started leaving. i would only use it if youve got a big buck not interested in grunts and bleats, it could scare him if hes small or been beaten up lately.
