ThermaCell just came out with a new mosquito repeller that runs and batteries and you can put it in your pocket. Repels about a 12'X12' area around you. Look for it on Cabela's site or do a search on Google for it.

Thermacell is awesome. Its amazing how the bugs quit biting after you turn it on.

Thermacell is awesome. It's always in my pack during early season and I break it out when needed. I also use Permanone on my clothing which seems to work well. Putting it on my face mask helps keep them away from my head, neck...and from flying up my nose. lol

I have a Thermacell as well. I just love this product and this will be my 3rd season using it. I have also used Scent Shield's product called No Stinin' Bugs. It does have a faint smell of DEET but most, if not all spray on repellants are going to have DEET. And I never had a problem with a deer down wind while I was using the repellant.

Just be real careful if you choose to use products that have DEET in them. Although DEET is THE BEST insect repellent that there is, it is also a plasticizer in higher concentrations (it eats plastic), so it can wreak havoc on your bow equipment, fletching, nocks, rests, sights, aftermarket camo applied to your bow, etc. basically ANYTHING plastic. Just be real careful when using it.
