Default Skeeter Repellent

anyone have idea's or homemade concoction to repel skeeters?

right now i use a thermacell, it works but it would be nice if i didn't have to carry it with me.

Around here we have a shrub called prickly ash. The scientific name is citronella. I just rub a handfull of berries on my exposed skin. It does the trick and provides a nice cover scent. When bowhunting I don't have all that much exposed anyway.
