After over 30 years I quit, I found out that if anything you can freshen scrapes withit and it sure doesn't bother them. Heck I don't consider a stand a stand until it has been sprinkled with yellow water!

Heck I've found out something that works well to attract deer...It's kind of a secret (that's why I'm telling it on the WWW) but I'll share it with all.

A few hours before I hunt I load up on a gallon or so of pure apple juice...Concentrate, frozen, canned it all works fine... Drink a gallon or so and when I get to my stand I have to pee sooo baaad I just whip it out and pee all over the place...The deer come a runnin to the apple scent pee...LOL... <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Seriously though, I have a "old" black sports water bottle I have hanging from my stand that I use. I empty it after I fill it. I've heard of many people that just go from their stand and have had deer come in...

Bowtech shooter, you might be on to something there. What if one were to just haul a gallon of apple juice in to the stand and spread it all over the place? That might be worth trying...

I don't take one, this spring I was bear hunting and a buddy had to go and as he zipped up a bear walked in.

I do. I take a old Gaterade bottle. If I fill it up I get down and freshen a scrape or two, then climb back up. It hasnt killed me a deer yet but I have had deer come on in and not spook.
