Default What kind of vanes would you recommend?

I shoot a BuckMaster 2000.I have a 29"draw and 52lb pull.I use GoldTip5575 arrows and use 4 bladed Muzzys.I only use my bow for deer hunting.
I want to start fletching my own arrows.I've tried feathers and love them but vanes are more durable.I've ruined alot of fletching, practicing.
I'm just not sure whatbrand of fletcherto get and should I get a straight, offset or helical fletcher?
Right now I have a shoot-threw rest but next year I'm getting a Drop Away rest. Thanks for your opinion.

That is 100% absolutely incorrect. Both can get holes shot into them but feathersstick back together and if they do actually get an actual hole where a part of the feather has ripped off, thefeathers will still fly true, unlike vanes.

AS far as the brand of fletcher goes, gets a bitzenburger. It's the best made.

The Arizona E-Z fletch is an easy fletcher to use. I use mine (has a 2 degree offset) and fletch with blazer 2" vanes. I love the whole system. The vanes are durable and stabilize the arrows beautifully.

If you are making the switch from feathers to vanes, I would suggest Blazers. I have been using them for over a year now and won't use any other vane currently on the market.

Add another vote for the Arizona E-Z Fletch and Blazers.

blazers and the bitzenberger is a great combination. The bitzenberger will always get your fletchings on accurate.

Definitely go with the blazers...as far was a fletcher...Jo Jan makes a good one for not a lot of money, however the "Cadillac" of fletchers is the Bitzenburger

The reason I say that vanes are more durable than feathers is that I have never been able to use the feathers again after it went through an animal.
I've tried warm water and soap anda hair drier, they still lay flat.I've never had that trouble with vanes.
