Which Carbons To Get for Trykon?
#11
I've shot the axis for the last two years out of my Hoyt Razortec and I'll be shooting them this year out of my Trykon. I had some Gold Tips and some Beman ICS as well but I definitely prefer the axis by far.
I've shot several mech heads through my netting and had no problem. Although all the heads that I shot did have the little rubber band around the blades. I killed a turkey that way last year, and several varmits. No problem out to 30 yards, haven't had any shots longer than that.

Are you shooting Mechanicals thru the double bull blind netting? If so, how does that work? My buddies and I haven't got the courage to try it, don't really want to spoil a shot if they opened up.

I was wondering on the rubber band vs. no rubber band head for shooting thru the netting. My buddy and I both shoot the XP Pro Series Spitfires if we are shooting mechanicals, we were kinda weary about it, and neither of us have set up the blind yet and tried a few practice shots thru it.
I need to get to town an see what kinda deal I can get on arrows at the local pro shop. I really want to buy a fletcher and start making my own arrows, I never have a fletching problem unless I start shooting groups, then they get tore up pretty fast (WB guys should know all about fletchings gettin ripped no matter what they are doing
).
