Default M.A.D. Compact Snort-Wheeze

Does anyone happen to actually own one of these that can tell me if they do the trick as far as producing a snort-wheeze?

Personally save your money or get a true talker if anything.

Do you just not believe in this particular call, or the whole "snort-wheeze" vocalization in general?

Hey Illini

Hi - ya doing
I got the first one the compact model your talking about, mine has a large clear palstic horn thing at the end.
It came with a casset to listen, any way I personelly like it .
Tried it last season just around the end of Oct. first part of Nov. before gun season.
Had some deet react to it ( some does ) the bucks came in to it like ( where are you and what are you doing here ) but the does came in looking for the big boy.
So in my opinoin I would say it works , maybe you will have better results durring the rut .

Good luck & happy hunting

Sounds cheesy, I use my wedding ring... put it up to my lips sideways, and about 1/3 way in then blow. I had it work quite a few times last season during the rut, once actually had 2 8 pointers come in at once, one from my left and one from the right, couldn't get a shot at either...

DISCLAIMER>>> This isdefinately the most expensive call I own, and I don't mean $$$ cost.... and you always have it with you. (at least you better.)

I had 3 bucks come to me last year in Illinois using a MAD snort/wheeze. I heard some walking behind me, did the snort/wheeze call, and within a couple minutes had a shooter buck and 2 smaller bucks under me. A guy let me borrow his that morning but I just picked up my own from Cabelas for this year. It may have been a once in a lifetime thing but I have never been so impressed with myself as that morning when I used that call and those bucks came right to me, hahaha.[&:] Good luck with it. It is worth the $15.

Yeah, I know the vocalization, in general, works. I'll have to try that with my class ring, dumb bass. I watched Michael Waddell do a perfect one with his hands on Realtree RoadTrips, but couldn't emulate it myself.
