UPDATED (PICS) Jacked up evening...
Well, I was shooting my bow today and got my first bowtech robinhood. Anyway, I took it in the house to take pics but my dang camera eats batteries like crazy. So I go back outside and see my dog chasing a fawn. I thought it was going to get away but I heard it "baaaaing" like a sheep so I take off on my 100 yard run. Well, my dog Sandy corners it and the fawn tries to jump through a fence. Sandy still can't get a hold to it and it gets free again. Well it runs another 150 yards and I'm running behind them (trying to). I get to the woods and Sandy is getting it by the neck. She didn't bite too hard but it's leg got hurt. I carry it to the house and try to give it water. We call the game department and a game enforcement officer but they couldn't help us/.
So, I just ended up taking it back to where it came from after trying to give it some water. It can get up and go a little ways but then lays down. I don't think the leg is broken. BTW, its a little buck. I just think it needs his strength. I "baaaaed" a few times loud hoping its momma would return. Gonna go check on the little guy in the morning. Needless to say, I got the dog piss run out of me today.
I took pics with my camera phone and will try to post tomorrow.

RE: Jacked up evening...
Coyotes aren't bad but a dog might get him.
Thanks DaveC. I loved that feeling but now Im getting low on arrows.
Well, I just sneaked back up there and he was sitting up. I do hate to see this kind of thing. He will have a very noticeable scar on his nose if his momma does come back and he lives. My mom is talking about taking care of him if hes still there in the morning. I hope hes not though.

Duc, you'd be surprised how tough they can be at times. I bumped one pretty good with mt truck last year. He layed there with no sign of mom for hours. The next morning he was out limping through the field with his twin and mom.
