Need advice on land purchase

Well then You may be able to build a hunting cabin. I doubt the owner can split the property so it may not work at all. This maybe one you pass up but keep looking. Just like a phrase from little bad Johnny, "I like what your thinking".
Good luck

I would cut a cheque. Real estate is never a bad investment, there may be some use for that land down the road that would a) give you a return on your investment b) be suitable for someone else and you get kicked out. As already said, its a car payment. Drive yours a little longer.

Kevin,
I may not have described the property very well. There isno farmland involved. The area is already developed with most people owning between 3 and 10 acres (all wooded). From the platts that I have looked at, I don't seea large tract of land able to be subdivided at this point... the lots are pretty much set with the houses, it will just be a matter of what types of people own them.
