Yeah from ten to twenty feet is plenty. But you have to have your shooting lanes so pick accordingly.

I hunt right around 15. It gets too hard to see out of most of the areas that I hunt the higher you go. I do have one stand at 20 foot, but that is the exception.

I keep my bow hoist rope at a length of 20 feet, and this is how high I practice from, so I try to get to the end of my rope at 20ft, but I have been higher and sometimes not so high depending on the obstruction of view.

i dont bow hunt yet...but my treestand for rifle season is about 16-18ft high....and when i went to video tape my friend bow hunting we went about 25 ft....i was comfortable about there and you will find me around 25-30ft next year when i buy my own climber and bow hunt...

I go about 12-20 ft. with my climber.
