Well.........as my luck usually dictates.......I am boned. I called the shop today and he said he would only order an Equalizer if I bought it ahead of time [:@]

Now I don't know what to do.....I looked at some of the other dealers near me and even called a few. No one has one and no one plans on having one either. This sucks. I just want to shoot the thing. The guy I have dealt with for a while says he had an Equalizer when the line was first released and it just sat there with little to no interest and finally he sold it. He also said I was the only one who has asked about it specifically but he may just be blowing smoke. He is pushing me towards the Allegiance for reasons like resale value which is true but not something I care about. I don't even know if I will get rid of my Patriot or not.

One thing I don't like is he said the Allegiance will be faster then the Equalizer if set up the same........I just don't see how. I am starting to get pissed........nothing like wanting to spend a grand and having trouble finding a place to do it [:'(]

Maybe you guys can help me out some more.

What would an Allegiance shoot at 60lbs 27" 300gr arrow??

I feel like I am getting trapped into a tough decision........either buy an Equalizer unseen or shot and hope (NOT my style) or get the Allegiance and deal with the thoughts of maybe I should have got the other one.

I drove far away to get my Patriot and I won't do that again......had a couple service issues and it was a PITA driving back and forth.

I wish I could find an Equalizer that I could just go drive somewhere and shoot.

Ubelievable.

Well you could always buy some nice Scent Control clothing,LOL. I feel your pain, to get my Ross I drove two hours to shoot one. I loved it, then called all the local proshops to see if they would carry Ross. I talked to Ross and 7 shops no luck. Then I called 4 season archery, they were gamed. They now carry Ross and are selling the hell out of those bows. I know it is VERY frustrating when you're trying to spend $, and nobody wants it.

I have to wait to tomorrow to talk to my brother who lives a couple hours from me and has some options out his way. If they have one out there I will go shoot it and get some 3D or turkey hunting in with my brother..........not such a bad thing.

The thing that is irking me the most is I am going to buy the bow from my local guy no matter what because of service convenience. Just ticks me off that I have to do all the work and he is going to end up getting 2 grand from me and my brother.

Don't get me wrong........he is a really nice guy and if you call Bowtech and tell them you are from my area he is the first they recommend........it is a business decision only. He doesn't want to get stuck with a $650 bow and I don't blame him for that. I personally don't believe he would get stuck with it but he claims the only one he had drew very little interest and he felt lucky to get rid of it. He would be taking a chance ordering it because if I find ANYTHING even the least bit less appealing then the Allegiance I wouldn't buy it so he has a point. I don't have to like it but I do understand it.

I always have to do things the hard way.
