I wouldn’t say most of there stuff is junk. A box of Remington 12ga high-brass #5's (my personal favorite for late season pheasants
) is the same whether I get them from Wal-Mart, Gander Mountain or the local shop. Trouble is the local little guy can’t buy a million cases like any of the big box stores so the same box of ammo is three bucks more at Joe’s Rod & Gun shop. I try to buy at the little guy when I can, but let’s face it money is money. Save three on ammo here, ten on an arrow rest there, $110 on a scope like I did (a scope that’s just as good as the one at any other store that sells Nikon optics I might add) and you are starting to talk about real money for most people. Bottom line; Wal-Mart getting out of the business of selling guns and or equipment, is bad for the sport because less people will be able to afford to do what we all love to do.
