whitetail hunter... i just bout a new bow for under $350. It was the hoyt mt sport but its the 01 model n the 02 model is 20 fps slower than the 01 model because they decided to shorten it. but if you can get your hands on the versa cam mt sport setup i don't think you can't go wrong

I just bought my first bow. Fred Bear Vapor 300. $280. I'm very happy w/ it & shoot it reasonably well for a beginner. It is very quiet, fast & vibration free.

whitetail, you can get the browning ambush whole kit for under $300.00
it's 36" a/a about 3.9 lbs, and has a 7 3/4" braceheight.
also, a bow I'm thinkin about buying is the golden eagle splitfire 36. it has the 15 degree offset grip, 36" a/a, and a 8" braceheight. I've been told it sells for $250.00

Are you talking about the whole set up or just the bow for 300 bucks. If you are willing to spend around 3 to 4 hundred on just the bow, Darton, jennings, Hoyt, Pse and the such all have decent bows for that kind of money. I would point you towards the Dartons my self. I would take a good look at the new fury. I am not sure what it costs, but it is the replacement for the Yukon that I bought. My Yukon was $350, so I would think the fury should be close, but it's a better bow and I love mine. Also look at the prolines, they are made by Darton now. I shot a coulple that were VERY nice and were like 4 or 5 hundred set up. Also check out Clearwater bows if you have someone near you that sells them, These are also Very good bows for the money. They do less advertising than darton, and you can have them put together about any way you want them. I think they run between 3 and 5 hundred dollars.

Most of the other companies offer bows that are simular and are good. I just happen to be a Darton fan, so I don't spend a lot of time looking at Hoyts and PSE's line up. If I want to dream shop I look at Mathews and Parker.
