While fighting bronchitis,sinus infection, and now pneumonia for a month, I've been making time to do a little shed hunting. Today I found 3 dead bucks, all look to be 1 1/2 year olds. One I think was a road kill and had the antlers cut off. Another, I would assume was killed by coyotes (he was in the middle of where they hang out a lot in numbers of 6-8 in a group), he was a really small 6. The last one I'm pretty sure was shot, he was a nice 8 with good mass for a young deer. Last week I found a nice non-typical dead on public ground and the week before that I found a dead 1 1/2 8pointer here at home as well. I'm starting to get a little discouraged! During the season I did notice a lack of 1 1/2 year old bucks, I think I only saw 2 or 3 , when I normally see a dozen or more. I did, however, find a shed yesterday. It was a monster. It has 1/2 inch brow tine, 3 inch g-2, and a 2 1/2 inch g-3, but it does have nice beam length for a runt. I'll post a pic of all my finds when I'm done shed hunting ( my wife says it is a real pain to load pics!)

Yep disgusting. There is a pile of maybe 30+ deer laying on a pile near my place that the owners killed to make way for a 12000 unit development
