The man is right. It's a big chain that buys on volume months ahead of time. They use central distribution points with seasonal shipments. They don't usually reorder these specialty things. It's big business... weather it's Walmart, Dicks or whatever.
SOLUTION: Support your local proshop. I'm sure the guy has broadheads that would have been more than adequate. Become a customer... tell him what you want. I guarantee the little guy will reorder what is selling.

I'm not a big "Wal-mart" shopper when it comes to hunting gear myself, but am taking a trip this weekend to Ks., well I thought that I had bought my antler-less tags when I put in for my primary tag, well, turns out I didn't, so I called a Wal-mart along the way of tomorrows trip, and they happen to have doe tags, and they will be open 'til midnight. In other words, not too many stores to pick from any time after 8pm, so in a pinch, they will save me from having to look for tags when I should be hunting. And they have some awesome sells on camo clothing after season.

A hot item in one store may not sell as well in another. One thing you can do is ask them to check the computer to see if another store has what you want, then ask them to ship it in. They have done that for me or if the time line is wrong I'll drive to the other store.

You all need to remember that Walmart is your cheapest place and Bowhunting in my neck of the woog here in PA lasts 6 weeks in OCT/NOV and two weeks in late december. So there not going to waste the space putting additional Bowhunting equipment when they can use the space for holiday shopping VCR"S CD players and the like. Same thing goes for my local archery shop if they run out of an item two weeeks before or after the season begins forget about them getting additioanl stock. Thats why ill be as happy as hell when Cabellas opens there store here in PA next year. Anything you want anytime you want it. Most times anyway.

Cabelas4Toys just to answer your question I used 3 heads to sight in and saved 3 for season. I've shot one doe and that leaves me with 2 new with season only half way through. I would really like 3 more and plenty of replaceable blades, because I've got a hog hunt coming up in Dec. I fell comfortable with these heads and don't want to take a chance shooting reruns.

I bought the 3 broadhead pack. And yes I have shot 3 deer in Illinois this season. But i did end up getting 6 broadheads this time, and my husband also shoots the same broadhead and grain weight.I was on a bowhunt with Michele Crummer( one of the owners of Muzzy Broadheads) on Oct,12 this year, So I sent them a e-mail about this and Michele replied, that Wal-Mart is very careful of not carrying any left over.So its all Wal-Mart and not the suppier. I know next time if I find them at Wal-Mart I will feel like I just won the lottery.

Bad Czech, can you sharpen the blades on any of the 4 you have used? I've never tried it but it seems like I've seen a lot of posts about others sharpening their blades on here. Heck, sound like a lot of people sharpen the new ones right out of the package to get them even sharper.
I don't know how many deer you can take where you are but I would think you would want to go into any season with at least twice as many sets of blades as the number of deer you can shoot. This would allow you a 50% miss rate and still give you enough to fill all your tags with new blades. I can only take 2 deer but I have three unused broadheads (I have three others I practice with) and a package of replacement blades (9 - 12 can't remember how many in the pack right now)So I could shoot at least 6 times in trying to fill my two tags and still use fresh blades each time.
As I think somebody already suggested I would just call Cabela's and order a set of replacement blades. I think that at least 90% of the time I have ever ordered from them if I order an item monday morning I've got it by friday.
As far as the whole Wal-Mart thing goes I'll buy scent products there or maybe a bow holder or some gloves or ammo for gun season or something but I generally buy most of my gear from a serious sporting goods store.
