I know alot of people that hunt this way and are very successful. I don't think they use stools but sounds like a good way to me. I think use the wind and have a good plan to set up and you bow hunters can have good luck. The same when you use a blind.

To say hunting out of a treestand is the ONLY way is just wrong. How you gonna hunt a treestand say in the middle of the South Dakota prarie? There isn't a tree for miles! To say hunting out of a ground blind is the only way to go is just wrong, too. If you're hunting thick foliage, you may need the altitude to get a visual.

Both are TOOLS that have times when they will work better than the other. I have killed deer out of stands and blinds both. I've been busted in a climber 20' in the air and been busted in a ground blind. A well placed ground blind is just as effective as a well placed tree stand.

Now, if you want to know which I prefer....I say the ground blind. There is just NOTHING like being face to face with a whitetailed deer at 5 feet!!

id go with a climber if you have the easy access otherwise if you have a hard time settin up go with the blind.

I need both. I prefer a tree stand, but there times when I find the perfect spot and there aren't any trees around. You've got to be versitile.

i prefer a pop up blind when hunting because i dont open up all windows all the way just enough where i can see and shoot out of and i can move and they will never see me but a tree stand it better for hardwood bottoms and ridges
