Big bucks and deer trails.....
I'm curious where you have seen or taken "big" bucks.
When you see or have taken a "big" buck, how often do you see them using a distinctive deer trail? I bet 95% of the does I have taken (who arent in a field feeding) are taken from a deer trail or just off of it. But I have taken only one of my better bucks from adeer trail. Therest of the"big" bucksI have seenare never on a deer trail. They may be 30 yards off a trailparelleling, but more often, they are moving at random through the woods, picking their own path. What are your experiences??
My natural tendency is to set my stands watching a particular trail but when I see nice bucks, they usually arent on it.

RE: Big bucks and deer trails.....
i only set my cam usally over deer trails and that were get most of my big buck pics from.sometimes also over scrape. during the rut bucks will cross doe trails to catch there scent but its sometime hard to find those crossings because there isnt a beated down trail.feild edges is another place to find deer cruising looking for doe sent as well.thats why you will find a good # of scrapes around feild edges.
