Very Important Question About Old Bow's 1980's I think
So... I was shooting my fathers old Bear Super Kodiak compound bow the other day and the worst thing happened. I was just about to reach full draw when I heard a loud snap. First thought that ran through my head was can I still see... When I established that I realized that something had broken. The string was still intact and then i looked at the limbs. the wooden limb was cracked an broken beyond belief. It was hard to tell my father because I was headed back to school and had no time to bring it to my local archery shop. I was wondering if anyone knew where I can buy limbs for an old bow like this. I believe he had bought it some time in the 1980's but I am not sure. I found this article on line and I think this is the same bow...

Please let me know if you know where I can buy limbs to replace them. Thank so much.

you're probably going to have to get a hold of bear......I don't know if you can even get limbs for that bow....you may be able to have a limbmaker build them.......but they'd have to have templates. I'm not really sure, but I would try contacting Bear archery first.
