We do not have access to a scale either but I do as quiksilver and some others have mentioned with a tape measure. My uncle shot a huge 8-Pointer back in 1998 that he took to get processed and they put it on the scale there and it was 215 pounds field dressed! That is the biggest one in our area that we haveharvested! I shot a 8-Pointer in archery a few years ago that I took to the butcher shop just to get it weighed and he went 195 lbs. field dressed!!We got a couple others that we did not get to weigh and we used the tape on them and there estimated weights were 175 lbs. & another at 178 lbs. I have seen alot in the past couple years that look like they are over 200 lbs. no problem! To bad I can't hunt the are I have seen them!!

I've never weighed any but I could swear while dragging them out they weighed about 750 pounds. My question is why don't they ever run towards the truck after you shoot them?

Even better why don't they just jump in the back of the truck for us?
