Default Reflex selection confusion..need help

I have decided to start looking for a reflex bow, since most of them are on closeout. I am a 27'' draw, and am looking for 60#-70#.
However, there are alot of models that I like (Grizzly, Excursion, Buckskin) but I cannot decide on one. I dont live near any good archery shops, so I cant really try any of them out.
I did have a Hoyt Havoctec a few year back, and didnt really like it. It was too "snappy" and not very forgiving. I didnt not shoot it all that well
My bow before that was a XI Myles Keller, and I was ultra deadly with it, but cant remember its specs.
I am not looking to break the bank, rather I want to get the best bow for my money, and get a bow that shoots well and is somewhat forgiving.
I dont know much about quality, riser materials, and brace differences.
With all the above in mind, can any of you make any reccomendations.
I will be hunting mostly whitetails, maybe elk and mulies in the distant future, and want a bow that is economical but nice quality and quiet.

Ps...What are the differences between the Hoyt Bows and the Reflex Bows, since they are both made by the same company, or so I was told

To be honest with you I think the difference is in the bows is component developments. I say this because the hoyts get all the new trick stuff but the reflex have the tried and true components. I have a buckskin and wouldn't trade it for anything. It is fast and accurate. I really like the short axle to axle lengths. Are you going to be using it in a stand? Make sure to check the lengths. I think any of the reflexs are great bows I just oppted for the buckskin. Good luck on your choice. My buckskin shoot arrows super fast and with little or no recoil, put some alpha shox and string leeches and your set.

I am familiar with both the Excursion and the Grizzly. My son has a Grizzly, and a good friend of mine the Excursion. I'll tell ya, you can't go wrong with either. For the money, the Excursion is impossible to beat. Excellent shooters, both of them.

I think the main difference in Hoyt and Reflex is cosmetics. They come off of the same line. In fact, most of the Reflex line are discontinued Hoyt models. Different paint job, put Reflex on it, and voila.

My opinion is that since Reflex is made by Hoyt you cannot go wrong.I think that it's a matter of "marketing".IMHO most people who are avid archer's go to Pro Shops.Back to the "marketing" portion of my response, most Pro Shops carry the high end archery equipment. For example i can go to my Pro Shop and buy a "Hoyt" which i need not say more or go to Bass Pro which is closer and get a "Reflex".Both made by the same parent company, but one you get expertise and experiance, and the other well need i say more[:'(].You said that you don't live near any "GOOD" archery shops so does that mean you don't live near "ANY" bow shops?????If that is the case i am not sure what to tell you except i wish you the best of luckThank god i live in close proximity to competence.

I got my Reflex Super Slam at Cabellas In Sydney after weeks/months of researching over the net. Love it!
A lot of manufacturers (not just hunting stuff) will not allow a retailer to advertise their products on the internet. So, you can't find Hoyt, Mathews, etc at any website (mostly).
So . . . they make a "lesser" brand that allows the "boxstores" like Cabellas and BPS to list the lesser brands and at the same time mention the bigger brand.
Hoyt is the designer and manufacturer of Reflex. My understanding is there are more plastic parts and the limbs are a different material. That's about it. Same designers, similar riser materials, same strings, same bearings in cams, cams are very similar.
For the price difference, I afforded myself a dozen new Axis arrows, broadheads, rest, sights, case, dinner, and fuel to get there and back!
