Sound like a lot of backpedaling after the spanking he got on this thread. Nothing in the first post would give even the casual observer any reason to beleive you are holding some high moral ground here. As already noted your first post mentioned noything of continuing the search, only of heading out hunting with a new partner.

If you really did find both deer, which I seriuosly question, my guess would be it was more by chance than any dedicated search on your part.

One other thing. A neck shot is a poor percentage shot, especially the way you and your buddy were flinging around arrows. I would hope you would limit yourselves to higher percentage shots, at least untill you can shoot more consistently.

Wow, almost sounds like Jerry Springer. One hit, one search. Shouldn't shoot again until you've found the first. No ifs ands or buts. We all know the ethics and what we should and shouldn't do. High Country's post had a lot of gray areas that he couldn't explain. And when he did he seemed to make it worse. His post sounds like they had a lot of action and just got carried away. At least they did find the deer.

Does anyone else remember?? Isn't this the gentlemen who said he could take a 60 yard shot at a whitetail, with his bow?? If so, I said it then and am saying it now. Sounds like a lot of wounded deer!!

I have no Idea what the law is in your State, but here you have to have a deer tagged before you kill another one in the same day. We all have made bad shots in our lives. But if I hit a deer sometimes I dont quit looking for days before I sling more arrows or lead around. Its called responsibility and hunting not just slinging, blasting and killing.Thats as kind as I can be.

I m gonna say this and expect to catch the same verbal ass whopping you guys wanted to hand out to High Country. That don't mean I won't trade jabs with you. I MIGHT NOT HAVE DONE THINGS THE EXACT SAME WAY. YOU MIGHT NOT HAVE EITHER. Let me say you MIGHT not have cause you don't really know until you been there. He may not have communicated well but you guys wouldn't get no merit badges either. There's a difference between pointing out a mistake and being RUDE. Y'all was rude.

I'll bet if you all lived previous lives you were in the crowd with the stones asking Jesus about the "woman caught in adultery". I'll bet you was in the crowd shouting "crucify Him, crucify Him," AND "give us Barabbas!"

This board is SUPPOSED to be one where you give advice and encouragement. Now a little direction to "get your buns back out there and find him is OK!" YOU DIDN'T DO THAT!!! You jumped in the middle of his s***. You ever made a mistake hunting?

You also jumped to conclusions. You sounded like a bunch of PETA-Pushers or Antis! Personally I am ashamed of you and think every one who jumped on his buns should send the boy an email and apologize for the attitude and tone of your criticism. There is a difference between "you made a mistake," and "what the f*** is wrong with you you dumbs**** a**hole." Most of you are fathers, grandfathers, or stepfathers. Would you treat your kids like that? Do you treat your friend like that? If so your kids hate you and you have no friends.

Suggest you fix this situation.

Hey, size may not matter but it sure IS nice!
