Will a doe bleat call work in the early season? I'm not looking for a buck in particular just some meat for the freezer. Will does come into this call? I would appreciate any suggestions.

A doe bleat is a social call and can be used anytime of year. An estrous bleat is a form of distress call, and may or may not call in does early, although I doubt it will scare them off. I used the woods wise breeding bellow call in early season once, and had a doe charge in, she looked totally pissed. I suspect that she was the matriarch, and I was challenging her dominance.
Best bet is to set up on a travel route between bedding and a food source. Look for fresh sign and hunt it asap. Good Luck.

I am hunting fresh sign and the deer have been eating the corn I have out about 18 yards from my stand. I was wanting to try something that will bring them in after I get settled in my stand in the evenings around 3:30.

The Can works well in certain situations just like most other deer calls. It just recently took a buck using one. When I used the can on him he came running full steam to get to where he thought the sound came from. I have used it at other times with no reponse - like I said sometimes they work & sometimes they don't! Nothing is sure fire but I have had positive results & no negative ones from it.

Good Luck!
