I'm rather sickenedby the fact that thequestion of wether or not a head shot with abow is a good shot or not ,is even being argued by some in a bowhunting forum.[:@]

Here's a sample for a couple of you moronsof why it shouldn't even be considered.

I have done it!!! Am I a moron I don't think so. I was 13 and it was the second deer I shot at. I never found it. A nice 8 point buck to. My Dad kicked my butt and wouldn't let me bow hunt for the rest of the season. and he made me look for that deer every day he went hunting. FYI I never took a shot like that again and after 40 + kills under my belt from deer to moose thats the only animal I ever lost. Im in my 40's now and I would never even think about a shot like that.

You are correct but incorrect on that statement. There is a killing shot in the hind quarters, but not recomended, my friend shot a monster 14 pointer a couple weeks ago, this was his first time bow hunting. The buck came in right under his stand and he tried for the spine, and shot him in the hind quarters and he dropped. So yes there is kill shot in the butt. Lol.

Id never take a head shot on any deer, gun or bow. Especially with a bow. Its not worth it.

Turleshell go back in your shell noone wants to hear from you anyway. Ill hunt where i want when i want and how i want. Looks like they didnt waste any meat on that shot! As for the dog i know back in the day you were allowed to shoot dogs if they were chasing deer and i know ppl who have.
