Looks like a good shot to me! Thedeer is dead. I know I can shoot my 3d through the eye at 30 yards.

Before I get jumped here, I'm not recommending this shot. But you cannot argue it's effectiveness.

Is that even a real pic? There is no blood anywhere. Not even the back of the head. Prob got hit by a car. I agree with both car hits and that shot though.

Well, judging from the picture, I'd guess that deer wasn't shot while hunting.

The deer isn't field-dressed and is laying on the pavement. The arrow through its head is a target arrow with a field tip. Also, you can see the darkness around the perimeter of the picture, which leads me to believe that the photo was taken at night, with a flash.

My guess is that this particular animal was dispatched secondary to a vehicle collision. If my hunch is right, they did the right thing by putting thedoe down with whatever lethal force was at hand - in this case - it was a target bow.

Maybe I'm wrong, but good food for thought.

In a hunting scenario, however, that's nothing to be proud of.

If you have to ask if that is a good shot than you need a lesson in ethical hunting.
