I'm not bashful in the least. I'd have set the old timer straight in a heart beat. What a bunch of bull hockey. I agree with who ever said it, "His blood must be in his feet as the brain isn't working well".<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> I only know of one part of the body that can take on and hold blood or release it. And even that is non voluntary reflex conditioning.<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Well now with horses they got those structures on the bottom of the hooves called 'frogs' that actually help pump the blood back up into the main circulatory system..but they always seem to bleed like stuck pigs anytime they cut themselves.
My guess is that the blood is in her chest cavity and she's layin within 100yds of the shot site. I've double lungged them before and had very little blood to go on. Has to do with whether they are inhailing or exhailing at the time of impact. A critter can run a long ways on one breath.
His comment; however, sounds like an old time excuse for a poor hit.
