I posted a question a few days ago about hunting the mid-day hours. Well I took the advice and was in my stand until 11:15 when the only buck I have had within bow range comes in. He was a 3 1/2 yr old 9pt. That was the good part, the bad was I rushed my shot and landed high and back. Here comes the funny part. I waited an hour before I got down and went back to my truck. So I was sitting on my tailgate when I see a deer crossing the road, I saw it was limping and ran down to get a look, I looked throught my bino's and he had an arrow sticking out of his side. This is an 1 1/2 hr later than I shot him. He had ran a mile and just happened to cross the road. I looked for 5 hours and never found any blood or the deer. This SUCKS.

Nothing funny about that. Hopefully the deer will recover and you will get another shot at him. It is quite a coincidence that he would cross in front of you later on. Its a sign to go get 'em. Good luck
