Default Hunting high and low???

What is the rule of thumb for hunting ridges and creek bottoms. Is one better in the morning or evening?

Default RE: Hunting high and low???

Well depending on who the author is,some tell you to avoid ridge tops until the rut, while others hunt them exclusively.I like to be near water when it is a dry year (this isn't here) if i'm hunting deer on feeding routes. My own experiment this year is hunting midway down a ridge that leads to a creek that only flows after a lot of rain. The lower portion is a travel corrider and i'm hoping to intercept Bull Winkle as he travels from woodlot to woodlot.
