So who wants to hear about the 2006 Bowtech "Tribute" ??
As well as the rest of the Bowtech line-up?
Nobody?..........That's what I thought?;):D Just a little teaser for the newestface in the line-up: The Tribute is a short (31.5")ATA hunting bow built on an Allegiance style riser, but get this: It has a 53 degree limb angle at rest! Goes beyond parallel at full draw to parallel at rest. The limb tip travel (what little there is) is entirely within a parallel or beyond plane for zero recoil /shock shot feel. It will feel longer in spite of it's short length giving it the stability of the Allegiance. This model and a few other will have module options: YES OPTIONS! You can choose a "Fast" module for the optimal performance for the guys who don't want to sacrifice raw power and speed........and also a "Smooth" module with still typical Bowtech great speed but an easier drawing draw force curve for those who just want easy drawing combined with great performance. It will be like getting 2 completely different bows for the price of a set of mods (Approx $20 a set) And yes, as you can probably guess......the draw lengths are now modular! Limb pockets are a new "Offset" design to compliment the "No split" design of the "Binary Cam" bows. What else ya wanna know? I'm an open book and have lots of goodies to share. Colors, specs, etc etc. ;) |
RE: So who wants to hear about the 2006 Bowtech "Tribute" ??
Would like to see a picture if you can share this with us.
Any improvements with the cam lean? The offset limb pockets may assist ya think? Certainly now having modules to change will make used EQ cambows a little easier to sell. Is the riser thickness the same as the 05' models? |
RE: So who wants to hear about the 2006 Bowtech "Tribute" ??
Completely new risers.......not sure of thickness measurements, center shot etc.
The "Offset" pocket was incorporated to address the lack of split yokes and any limb twist. No pics yet to share, sorry.:( Not only will the new modules assist the owner with personalized choices for draw length and performance......you are correct, you will have a lot to offer another shooter should you choose to sell the bow down the line. Any draw length and 2 different performance options . |

RE: So who wants to hear about the 2006 Bowtech "Tribute" ??
Ok here are the "Tribute" specs:
ATA = 31.5" Brace Height = 7.5" Let-off = 65-80% Draw weights = 40-100#! Draw Lengths = 26-30" (sorry knuckledraggers) Weight = 4.1 lbs IBO speed (fast mod) = 320-328 fps IBO Speed (smooth mod) = 312-320 fps Another cool touch......the cable rods are camo this year as well to match the bow's riser. Wait until you see how cool this looks.(Wears very well) Lots more to learn if the right questions are asked.;) |
RE: So who wants to hear about the 2006 Bowtech "Tribute" ??
manufacturer's suggested retail price?
As well as the rest of the Bowtech line-up? |
RE: So who wants to hear about the 2006 Bowtech "Tribute" ??
How cheap can you get me one? Is that the right question?
|
RE: So who wants to hear about the 2006 Bowtech "Tribute" ??
6 bows total in the Bowtech line-up........all "Binary Cam" cam models.
Tribute (I haven't discussed the marketing strategy with anyone yet but my guess is that yes the ZERO ads will probably revolve around the Tribute with it's obvious shock / recoil reducing design, but the rest of the bows will share similar shot feel properties) The Allegiance, Old Glory and Constitution models remain and have been upgraded and revamped to seperate them from their 2005 counterparts in performance and feel. Try 327-335fps for the 'Fast mod' Allegiance with a 7" brace height.[:-] Or 308-316fps for an Old Glory w/ an 8" brace height! New short draw, high performance model called the Equalizer.....302 IBO speeds at 26.5" and 60#! It will be available from 23-26.5" and 20-60# and only weigh 3.5 lbs. This is no kids bow........it's a true adult big boy bow for the short draw length , low draw weight crowd. The Tomkat package bow for 2006 is an "E" cam bow with a completely new package set up. |
RE: So who wants to hear about the 2006 Bowtech "Tribute" ??
Great deal Matt! Looks like I am going to have to order a Tribute this year! Sounds like an excellent design. I really look forward to seeing how it shoots.
Any word on the Diamond lineup as well? |

RE: So who wants to hear about the 2006 Bowtech "Tribute" ??
Specs on the Constitution? Price w/ target colors? Speeds? Target colors available? Do they still have the draw stop peg? Any info on the Constitution would be appreciated. Sounds like I don't need both an IBO and ASA bow anymore. The Constitution is one of the models that does not have a "Smooth" option for modules......only 'Fast' IBo Speeds will be 308-316 w/ a 8.25" brace height. 40" ATA length Target colors/ models will be a suggested retail upcharge of $100 I think? ( don't quote me on that) and from what I understand that priceincludes a Bowtech logo laser engraved Shrewd precision target grip and color matching string/cables. Colors will include Black Marble w/ anodized cams, and 3 new finishes......Red, Blue and Clear "Chrome" with black chrome cams. Yes they still have the draw stop peg. |
RE: So who wants to hear about the 2006 Bowtech "Tribute" ??
No one can keep a secret these days.:D
I am just going to say, This Thread Needs Pictures!!! |

Can you swap out the speed/ draw length modules without a bow press?

That's me dancing around the office at work.;) I am so glad I waited for this instead of picking up a slightly used one. Any idea on where they picked up the extra speed on the new Constition? I am guessing the new "fast" module isn't the same profile as the 05 binary on it? Still the same letoff? |
RE: So who wants to hear about the 2006 Bowtech "Tribute" ??
I saw the target colors listed, what camo are the bows going to be adorned with?
|
RE: So who wants to hear about the 2006 Bowtech "Tribute" ??
It's a little shorter than I was looking for, but all things considered it sounds like an awesome bow.
I'll definitely have to give Bowtech another look this summer when I buy my new bow. |
RE: So who wants to hear about the 2006 Bowtech "Tribute" ??
1) Can a person buy a set of 2006 E Modular Cams and retro-fit them onto a 2005 Allegiance?
2) Will the new E-cams have any changes regrading the current ones locking up if the draw-stop is removed or if the cables are twisted out of sync? |
RE: So who wants to hear about the 2006 Bowtech "Tribute" ??
I saw the target colors listed, what camo are the bows going to be adorned with? Mossy Oak "Obsession" standard with matching cable rod, and if I heard correctly there will be actual camo options (as an upcharge)...after all they do own their own dipping facility!:D I heard Max4, and the Realtree Hardwoods line (Hardwoods HD and HD Green) So if you don't care for MO Obsession for whatever reason (I think it's terrific) it looks like again you'll have options for 06'! Options for mods, performance and now colors! |
RE: So who wants to hear about the 2006 Bowtech "Tribute" ??

RE: So who wants to hear about the 2006 Bowtech "Tribute" ??
Well, looks like I may have found an upgrade for my Patriot. I really like what I've seen (so far) of the Tribute bow. ;) Thanks Matt! Can't wait to see some pics.

RE: So who wants to hear about the 2006 Bowtech "Tribute" ??
Can you give us a little more info on the Equalizer.
This really caught my 26" Draw Length attention:) ATA? BH? Thanks! |
RE: So who wants to hear about the 2006 Bowtech "Tribute" ??
Can you give us a little more info on the Equalizer. This really caught my 26" Draw Length attention:) Absolutely........ 32.12 ATA length 7" brace height 65-80% let-off Weight = 20-60# Lengths = 23-26.5" 3.5 lb. Looks like a little bit shorter and slimmed down Allegiance w/ the 40 degree offset limb pocket design....... |

RE: So who wants to hear about the 2006 Bowtech "Tribute" ??
Sounds like Bowtech left me out again this year. I really like the E cam bows and I like the Allegiance and I would love to buy one but I need a little more brace in a hunting bow. I don't like the 31" bows so that leaves me out there. I guess I will have wait until 07 to buy a new bow. All I want is an Allegiance with 7.5 or > inches of brace.Hopefully, there is one out there for this yer that we haven't heard about yet. I really like Bowtech but it seems to me like they are forgetting about the hunter or either I am in the minority on what a hunter wants. Sure I want a fast bow but how about a fast bow that is quiet, accurate, with some added brace height and still around the 34" ATA length. Is it just me or would that not be the perfect hunting?????

Sure I want a fast bow but how about a fast bow that is quiet, accurate, with some added brace height and still around the 34" ATA length. Is it just me or would that not be the perfect hunting????? The way to look at the new Tribute is that of a more laid back Allegiance......it's on the same riser. At rest the Tribute will look like the Allegiance at full draw and will exhibit very minimal limb tip travel. In effect it will behave very much like an Allegiance at full draw with regards to feel and stability. It will not behave like a 'Shorty' bow. I expect it to feel and shoot like an even milder shooting and more forgiving Allegiance. It'll be the short bow without the short bow characteristics. But everyone likes what they like I guess......I would hope you'll at least shoot one with an open mind. Sounds to me like the Old Glory is what you would like anyway?....8" brace height mid 3teens speed. and it's 37" ATA......That's only 1.5" more on either end (compared to the Allegiance), and if anyone can tell me with a straight face that 1.5" of extra bow on each end is going to interfere with their treestand hunting vs. a 34" ATA.........;):D So we're missing you by .5" of brace height on the Allegiance or 1.5" of effective ATA length with the Old Glory?;) |
RE: So who wants to hear about the 2006 Bowtech "Tribute" ??
Matt,
How about the specs for the upgraded Tomkat, please. Thanks! Bill |

RE: So who wants to hear about the 2006 Bowtech "Tribute" ??
Hey Matt
Does the blacknight still have dual cams or did they switch it over to the E cams? Any speed increases or other changes for the BK? |
RE: So who wants to hear about the 2006 Bowtech "Tribute" ??
Hey Matt Does the blacknight still have dual cams or did they switch it over to the E cams? Any speed increases or other changes for the BK? Not enough speed at all cost freaks to keep the heritage alive. |
RE: So who wants to hear about the 2006 Bowtech "Tribute" ??
Oops, Matt beat me too it. ;)
|
RE: So who wants to hear about the 2006 Bowtech "Tribute" ??
Do they have another bow to fill that spot or are they giving up the claim to the fastest bow in the world?
|
RE: So who wants to hear about the 2006 Bowtech "Tribute" ??
At 327-335 with a full string load I think the "Fast" Allegiance will do just nicely to fill that niche.
That's somewhere in the neighborhood of a 332-340 bare string speed at 7" brace height. It'll be the fastest apples to apples barring devine intervention. Any bows able to touch that? ;)[:-] |

Sound's like a raw power killin machine ,sound's good to me .I'll definately be looking forward to a good look at one .

RE: So who wants to hear about the 2006 Bowtech "Tribute" ??
Here we go [:@]. And I thought I wasn't going to buy a bow this year. This equalizer sounds exactly like it was made for me ! 302fps at 26 1/2" is awsome for a treestand and blind bow. Matt/PA Does this Equalizer have adjustable mods for length and valley/smoothness/speed Am I reading you correctly that you think this bow is 26.5" ATA length? The max draw length is 26.5"....... This bow is only available in "Fast" module configuration. |
RE: So who wants to hear about the 2006 Bowtech "Tribute" ??
How about the specs for the upgraded Tomkat, please. Thanks! Bill Tomkat: ATA = 31.75" Brace height = 8.625" Let off = 65-80% Draw Lengths = 27-31" Draw Weights = 40-70# Weight = 3.8lbs. IBO Speed (fast mod) 307-315fps IBO Speed (smooth mod) 299-307 fps |
RE: So who wants to hear about the 2006 Bowtech "Tribute" ??
Will ASAT be a color option??
