salt block

Default salt block

Has anyone ever used a 50 lb. salt block? Does it work? Do the deer like it? ect. what are your thoughts on it.

As an attractant,it's pretty useless. Deer need the salt more in the spring and summer than during hunting season. I put them out at the end of winter. Now I hear, that if you use that stuff called block topper ( i think its molasses based)that it will atrract deer to it.

Of course thats on the commercial and the hunting shows so who knows.
But if you try the stuff please psot your results.

if you can get a molasses block for horses.. It has oats and such in it.. That will work for you.. Deer love that stuff.
