personally, I use graphite rather than oil on my axels. I find that the dust and grime doesn't adhere to it like the oil.

That's a good idea. I was wondering about that. Actually, the clicking started again. It seemed like it was happening when the cable rolled over the cam. That's where the old cable started fraying. I put a little electrical tape around the cable right there and have tested it several times after waiting awhile. I was a little hesitant at first thinking it might roll off but I don't think it's thick enough. So far it seems to have been the problem although I don't understand how. It got to dark to shoot so I have only been pulling it back. I'll shoot some tomorrow and see if it starts it again.

DONT BE SCARED. IF YOU LUBED IT AND IT HELPED YOU ARE PROBLY REALY CLOSE TO THE PROBLEM. INSPECT YOUR LIMBS IN A WELL LIT PLACE IF YOU DONT SEE ANY CRACKS THEN LOOK AT THE CABLES IF NO FRAYS AND I MEAN LIKE BROKE STRANDS THEN YOU ARE OK. WHEN YOU SHOOT A BOW FOR A WHILE IT WEARS A LITTLE WE CALL THIS SETTLING IN. WHEN YOU PULL IT APART AND REPLACE THINGS SOME TIMES YOU GET IT OUT OF THE WEAR PATTERN AND IT TAKES A WHILE FOR THINGS TO GET BACK IN THE GROOVE SO TO SPEEK..........I HOPE YOU DIDNT USE WD 40 AS THIS WILL DEGRADE YOUR STRINGS AND CAUSE SERIOUS PROBLEMS.

I'm telling you. It's a dry rocker.

BG, you very well could be right and if it comes back that will be what I check into. Right now, the bit of tape seems to have eliminated the noise. Could the tape have just muffed out the noise from the rocker? Thanks.
