Default need advice

My tractore slung a shoe so to speak. The clutch is out and I couldnt use it to plant a plot for bow season. Plus its been too dry here in Texas we aint had no rain in over80 days . Now it seems that we may get rain when this new hurricane hits. I was wondering what I can plant that doent need to be disked or tilled under. and that might grow quickly.

How about that "no-til" mixture that I see promoted so often on the forums. I forget who makes it.

Wheat or oatsare an option, however birds will eat alot if it doesn't get rain quick. If the ground isclear you could try a mix of crimson and white clover. If it isweedy I would not do the clover.

Toss out a few bags of pinto beans. That's about the only thing I know of that will germinate and sprout in the little time you've got between now and opening day.

I,m going out tomorrow and put out a bag of biologic hotspot. It only does a 20 sq. yd. plot but I'll be able to hunt the whole thing at one time. Thank God we finally are going to get some rain. My lease in prairieville is so dry trees are turning brown. And this 100 degree stuff in late sept. is gettin' old. I hate that it's coming in the form of a hurricane but I'll take what rain we can get.
