Hate to say that my success this evening was due to ASAT, but it really helped.

My 3D suit really breaks up my outline.

My biggest thing was that it was only $80 and I can wear anything I want underneath it. I talked to them on the phone for a while and they assured me that if I did not like it for any reason, to send it back. I was looking at the big chain camo's and for my first year, I am on quite a budget. I could not get a cheap jacket for what I paid for this entire suit.

Just my thoughts. I'll let you know how it is when it comes in the mail.

A couple of my buddies wear ASAT camo and several wear Predator and i admit that they are both good patterns. I personally use NATGEAR which i wouldn't trade for either one. Natgear has been working for me for a long time and it doesn't have the blob effect from a distance either. It blends well with any terrian. I think camo is like anything else it's personel preference. Doesn't matter what you wear if you move your gonna get busted.

I used to be a big proponent of predator camo. I still think it works if your in the right enviroment. I aggree with the blob effect of realtree, heck you may as well wear gray coveralls. Mossy oak isn't quite as bad but is still on the dark side.
Now that I think of it I had a buddy who wore the stuff, he said it works best at 20 or more yards. I may try some out this year the only problem I have is I spent $300 on a 4 in one mossy oak parka so unless it will fit over it my camo will stay Mossy oak at least in the cold.
I looking closely at NATGEAR mykey mentioned. It looks like some good stuff.
The buddy of mine who wore ASAT claimed to have guys stand next to him and never know he was there so maybe the stuff does work.

My name is Jerry Kiger I am the ASAT Hunting Advisory Board, I have used ASAt for many years, believe me it works. I have kill animals from Grondhog to ELk. If you have any questions about ASAT you can e mail me at [email protected]. I have some 3d suits in stock. Everything will be coming out in 3-4 weeks. Good Hunting, but you can make it better with ASAT.

Well, I just got my suit in the mail last week. I washed it half a dozen times and all of the "factory imperfections" are gone. As far as I can tell, I could have not spent a better $80. It will go over anything I want to wear, or tuck in for the warmer weather. Breathes very nicely and very well constructed.

Next test will be in the woods in about ten days!!!!!

I guess I have kind of an opposite view on photos of camo than Cabelas4Toys has. I'm always skeptical when I see only close-up photos of camo clothes patterns. I wanna see what the pattern is gonna look like from 10,20 and even 30 yards or more, too. Most camo patterns out there are designed by artists who try to match a photo of leaves or trees. And, that's pretty and an eye catcher when we see it on the clothes rack - but I'm skeptical about the effectiveness of most of those patterns - cause when you back off 10 or 20 yards and look at them - the patterns just turn into dark human shaped blobs. When that happens, what do we suppose critters see from those distances. You can tell from my handle that I'm an ASAT lover. I've used it for years. I've tried lots of other camos and havn't found anything that outperforms concealment better. Years ago, I sat in on a seminar at a sports show where the inventor of ASAT told the story behind it's development and the scientific rearch they did with whitetail hunting to finally end up with the ASAT pattern. I don't remember the whole story, but some of the things he said made sense and have stuck with me for years: If green were such a good color for camo, then why are bear, deer, turkeys, elk, etc. green?, The ASAT pattern was developed to decieve the vision of animals and humans by destroying the image of a human body., The colors used by ASAT are the same colors found on most game animals - and they seem to be able to hide pretty well. Hey, there are a lot of camo patterns out there for us to choose from. Some are pretty and some aren't. Some are more effective than others under varied conditions. Some are a waste of money because of poor quality. It's great to have such a wide selection to be able to choose from. As for me - after having spent mucho on camo stuff over 35 years+ of huntin whitetails, I've never found anything that outperforms the concealment abilities of the ASAT pattern under so many different seasons and backgrounds. I also use it for doves, ducks and geese - good stuff! Welcome to the brotherhood of ASAT wearers, if you have experiences similar to mine while wearing it - you'll never switch unless something even more effective is developed.
