Default Light on sight spooking deer?

Will the afterburner light on my copper john sight spook deer? Can they see it? It seemed like the doe that busted me yesterdaypicked up onthe light on my sight. I was PERFECTLY still with good camo and good natural cover - Scent Lok, White Lightning,AND the wind in my face...but she still bolted.

Ahhh....sometimes deer just "know", you know? They have a sense about them that tells them danger is near, even though they can't see it. Hunters have been using lights on their sights for too many years for it to have a negative impact.

I was wondering the same thing. I picked up a tru glow site from wall that has a violet light on it. Seems real bright. I could use it for a flashlight in the woods.

I had a doe pick me off a few years ago because of the light on my sight. Since then I put either black electrical tape or markthe one side of the sightup with a magic marker to cover up the lighted fiber optic cable. Haven't had the problem since.

I haven't been busted with mine so far. My Trophy Ridge light was super bright, so I put a black dot on the bulb to "mellow" it out a little. works like a charm.

You mean you black-out the "outside" of the pin...the side towards the game??
