Default Flavored Salt Blocks, HOT OR NOT?

hey i just set out two of those flavored salt blocks one flavored on apples and one of corn, i set them just off to the side of my two favorite deer trails, wondering if anyone knows how they work:?

Being as how a deers' need for salt has dramatically lowered now that velvet has been shed and fawns will soon be weaned, I wouldn't actually count on yur blocks being effective enough to waste time setting over during the season.
