Worry about a few inches and the possibility of a state record Ssssh!!!! Come on If he's big enough you have to ask yourself if he might make the state book or not SHOOT HIM!@!!!!! That would probably be a buck of a lifetime for most and I certainly wouldn't pass it up....Who cares about the book and a few inches if he is in the 180+ range. Maybe if you pass him up and someone else gets him and he does make the book they will give you a copy of the book

You're considering passing up a state record because you think he is 3 .5 years old? How do you know his age? I'm seriously doubting a 150" deer is a state record in your state, wherever it is.

The buck in the 4th picture has a gross b&C score of 155 3/8". But he also has a split G3, which if deducted would bring the buck down to about 152". So either way your looking at a deer that grosses over 150", but I dont think the buck in picture #4 would net over 150".

Manboy may not be the most politically correct person on this board but he is telling the truth about the state archery record in Wyoming.
The state record for a typical whitetail taken with archery equipment is 153 6/8 inches. and two deer tie for the record. The first deer was taken by Steven Blair in 1986 and the second was taken by Raymond Kind in 1999.
So ShadowAce, you can now remove your foot from your mouth and speak freely again. [:'(]
Just FYI.
The nontyical with archery equipment is 162 6/8 inches. Taken in 1995 by Heron Head.
Oh I forgot to add that I would most definetly take the buck if given the oportunity. Who knows what could happen to him later in the season if you decide to pass on him. Even if he only ranks in the top ten I would rather have a top ten state deer than find his skelital remains from a harsh winter or predator kill or worse yet someone else shoot him.

bigbulls, first off......thanks!
tx, that is exactly what is killing me right now! this buck is right at the record. but maybe just under?
i have lived in wyoming for 20+ years, i am a taxidermist, i have cut deer for over 10 years so i have a pretty good idea this deer is 3 years old. and the others with him are a little gray comparied to him. there is no way for me to tell how old he is for sure, or what his exact score is, i can only use my judgement. and use the info. i have gotten from this sight! so thanks to you all!
i am gettin those pics. done tomorrow, i will try to post a pic. thanks again
