I'd like to book a hunt late December or January. I've heard the rut in Alabama isn't until January, so that sounds like one possibility. I've also heard about January hunting in Texas as well. I would appreciate any feedback anyone has concerning this as well as reputable outfitters. I prefer hunting with outfitters who only allow bowhunters on their property. Thanks

Go to Texas. If you are looking at a chance for a trophy I'd go to Texas. Alabama is great for numbers and late seasons. For big ones...no good.
