Back with a vengence! I must have been on my medication when writing my last thread. Apolgize for nothing, You see what you want to harvest and shoot it, wheather it's a pup or a bull, you have eveyright to do it, that's what is so great about this passion. Of course you going to get hassled about what you shoot unless it's a monster it's been going on for decades, people admire those folks who shoot monsters evey year, but I met a man a long time ago who never killed a monster whitetail and he was the best hunter I've ever seen, this man was my DAD. He wasen't the best at killing deer he was the best because he spent time with me teaching me all his tricks, and sharing momments and indroducing me into the outdoors.

Darn.............what a GREAT post.

I am one of those middle of the road hunters. We, meaning my dad and I, hunt on public game lands. We pretty much take any deer we see because getting a deer can be very tough and seeing a mature "trophy" type deer may happen once every 10 years. I am happy with any good mature deer that i can get. I have shot half-rack spikes to nice 6 pt bucks and was thrilled with everyone of them. Never once was I disgusted with what i shot. Don't get me wrong, hell yeah I would love to shoot a trophy buck, but who wouldn't. I am just not going to commit myself to strictly shooting only trophy bucks when hunting, to me, isn't about the size of the rack on the deer. Everyone should hunt deer the way they want as long as it is legal.

DARN................2 in a row
